i would attempt it but the funds just arent there for the interior modifications yet. awesome writeup tho! always wanted to do this to a few of my vehicles and thought of doing it exactly how you did it but i just dont trust myself with a sewing machine. lol! i always hated the factory pleather crap gm used in everything. this may motivate me though to put the rest of my build on hold and do this. props on trying something no one here seems to have done yet. looks great imo.

Well... I am a bit dissapointed with the interior on the car. I was hoping for the leather seats with the 1 piece back and I got the other ones. The ones with the plastic sides and back.... I am going to try and find someones other style seats and throw them in my car. Maybe it will work. I will let you know and shoot you some pics. Maybe you will be willing to help me with some ideas. The plastic look is just hideous to me.

You mean the hard plastic on the firebird seats? That might look good painted, depending on the color scheme. PM me some pics so I can get an idea of what you have to work with.

Here are the pics you asked for. Like I said it needs help. Sorry for the little mess. Have not had time to clean it out since the trip.

01ssreda4, if I pay for your ticket to come down Chicago, can you do my seats with the logos minus the side doors lol, wasn't a fan of that but your seats with logos look outstanding, don't mind doing your red part navy blue for me. Thanks.

Incredible work. Looks amazing. That is talent right there most people couldn't do even with practice. I compare a job like that is equal to artwork.

Everything about it is cool, even the big SS on the door panels. Why? Because nobody else will have this. I love the red and black combo. It looks like and reminds me of the red and black interior option on C5 Z06's (which also looked awesome)

This is really cool man!

You have an inspired me to tackle this project myself. I have a set of cloth seats in my garage collecting dust, so that would be my mule. The leather ones I have in my car are nice, but there is a couple rips and fade.

I think I would just do solid black with two old school Z/28 symbols on the two front headrests

A couple questions for you:

1.) If I remember correctly, my cloth driver seat has a bar which the foam seems to have slid off of on the left back support. It would jar into my back/side while I drove. I never actually had the cloth off so I dont know if it just slides back onto the metal frame or what. Is the foam easy to repair/manipulate?

2.) Can you tell me more about the fabric you used? Is it comfortable? Good quality? What was the name of it? As I said above, I have leather ones already and they are in decent shape except for some rips. I don't want a significant quality downgrade.

Thanks!
