Mounted my Race Star Industries bigs/littles and lowered the car!
I rolled it outside today for some pics! I'm going to wash/detail it tomorrow again so I'll have some more when it's clean.
I finally finished up the BFH mod on the fender wells today, my first pass with the hammer didn't do the trick completely. It's fixed now, I test drove it and did some WOT passes to make sure I wouldn't run in to any issues when it squats. WOW is all I can say, traction!!!!!!
It has a little more of a redneck rake than I really like.. I'll prob be raising the front up a little. I think it'll look perfect on my street wheels/tires (26s all around.)
On my test drive it kicked on the ABS INOP, BRAKE, and ASR OFF lights. The different tire sizes are confusing the ABS I believe. It's not there on low speeds, but kicks on over 35-40ish mph.
Changing gear oil in the rear tonight and fixing my header collector gaskets, then I believe she's ready for when the track opens in a month! Other than waiting on my friend with a welder to get some free time to weld on my LCA relocations. And I'm going to have the grille painted gloss black.. bare plastic was a stupid idea GM!
15x10 and 15x3.75 with 325/50/15 Mickey Thompsons and 165/80/15 radials. It has QA1s up front with 300lb springs (iron block) and stock springs in the rear with the heater hose mod.

I'm still not sure if I like these wheels for the rears. Your car looks awesome though!! Just make sure that when you're at the track that your ABS light is ON! If not, your ABS will kick in while you're trying slowing down, and trust me... that's no fun for anyone.

The rake really doesn't look 1/4 as bad in person. The picture REALLY shows it. It would have taken me 5 minutes to do the BFH if I would have done it all at once. I was trying to get away with as little as possible the first time.. and when I found out it was rubbing I just said F it and went to town. Even though this is slowly becoming more and more of a "drag car" I hated to beat the **** out of a 50k mile SS. Oh well.. it will inevitably be stripped and tortured.
And thanks for the tip nssane. Maybe I'll just pull the fuse while it's at the track.. I know the ABS was doing some weird **** when I was test driving it. I'd hate to have more fun with it going 120+
Here is a pic of the BFH required.. I only had the "bottom half" of the BFH'ing done the first time and the tire was rubbing on a spot that sticks out some.. so it went in as well.

That's not a bad idea. The first time I made a run with the ABS still active I didn't realize it until midway throught the shutdown, and at that point I had to stand on it and still barely made it. And that was on a nice NHRA track... if I was on the hill billy track around here I would have eaten some dirt.

I think if it's not plugged in to the rear end it just wont be active, not positive though. Or you can pull out the fuse, I think that disables it full time... again, not positive.
