Default Amber turn signal lights not turning on after replacement. why?

I have a 99 formula and I just bought new GM turn signal lenses and bulbs. For some reason now when I start the car they don't turn on...But, when I turn on my blinkers, or hazards they work. Do you have to do something to make them default on again?

If anyone knows let me know! I still have the car up and I'm working on it!

You sure they are making contact correctly inside the connectors? Check grounds, and are you positive you bought the correct bulb? They need to be dual filament.

Also be sure that the sockets are ok. When I went to do a simple bulb swap I was having issues due to burnt sockets.

The bulb must be right, because I used an old working one and it did the same thing. The lights were working before, so I don't see how anything could be bad...

Mine were working until I pulled the old bulb. That was enough for the old cooked plastic and contacts to come loose and not work anymore.

Really? Both sockets? I just plugged the Damn bulb in the new lense. How would the turn signal work, but not the daytime light? It's the same bulb...so weird.

The bulb has 2 filaments. Sounds like one of them is burnt out, you sure both filaments are still present and not broken?

Did you replace sockets?

lololol, I had the e-brake on while the car was lifted doing the lights and that keeps the amber lights off at startup. Once i put the e-brake down they worked...Lol, i feel like an idiot.
