Harwood 2.5" Cowl I Was Thinking About Replacing My SS Hood With A Harwood 2.5" Cowl, But Was Wondering If Anyone On Here Has This Hood So I Can Get A Idea Of What It Will Look Like On My Car Before I Drop A Bunch Of Cash On One Thanks -Dan |
the original hood Harwood took the design from: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/224386 -Whistler's old car theres a maroon camaro on cardomain with the actual Harwood. let me see if i can find it. |
my opinion is go with a 4. or 3. bigger and meaner looking.. and usually around the same price. |
there aren't too many cowl options for camaros though. -2.5" harwood -3" sunoco or SS anything bigger looks out of place on a street driven camaro... |
Yeah I Have The SS But I Wanna Keep The Car A Z-28 And Not An SS Wanna Be.. My Buddy Is Gettin The Sunoco, And I Don't Want To Have The Same Look As Him Lol Soo Harwood It Is.. Still Lookin To See If Theres Anyone On Here Runnin This Hood Soo I Can HAve A Better Idea.. I Can't Seem To Find Anyone Besides That Link You Posted Crimson |
If I remember correctly, the Harwood hood is kinda square looking like it belongs on an 80's Malibu. I have a Sunoco hood that isn't even painted yet and I LOVE it!! I was debating on getting this hood and a true SS hood. Either would have been nice but the ultimate decision was Sunoco since SS hoods were stock. If your buddy is getting a Sunoco hood too, remember there is one with and without a center stripe. :D |
Who cares what your buddy has. If you like the Sunoco get it. PS. My sunoco is raised to 6", widened, and extended to the windshield, and I don't think it's too big on my "street driven" Camaro. |
Yeah I Just Found A Black Camaro Via Google.. N The Harwood Is Def Goof Lookin To Me At Least.. http://media.motortopia.com/files/35...-28-07_031.jpg ... Im Going To Have To Ask My Buddy Which One He's Getting And Get The Other One... |
yeah i like the Harwood too. it has a nice, subtle look, while looking more aggressive than the stock hood.

There are some pictures of it in this thread, you will just have to scroll down a little cause the first couple of pics are of whistler's hood. https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-pics-pls.html |
sunoco all day every day..or custom paint the SS hood..i personally am not a fan of the aharwood in the above link... |
If you like the Sunoco, just go with that! If it were an LT1, it might be a different story! |
i ordered a 4" hood for my cobra but i measured it today it its like 5 1/2 on the side walls. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...cc31ffd696.jpg i think my cowl on my 93 z28 is a 4 inch. its not really that big. i have to find pics of it though. its by glasstek. it was like 600 shipped. the one for my cobra was only 400. the 3" for my 87gt was only a 100 shipped. then paid like a 100 for my 3" on my 97gt. i wish i could get into making fiberglass hoods and ground fx... |
go with the sunoco, especially with the right rims... |
Harwood not my cup of tea on a ls1 Camaro, lt1 yes |
yeah lt1's have the right nose for the harwood. ls1's don't. |
