Default Any other SLP style grilles?(6le make one!)

I know about the SLP grille, and the rk sport one, both of which are like 250$? Are there any others available? Maybe 6Le/Mcnord could put somethin up. Would be especially nice if it was under the 200$ mark for such a small piece.

I need somethin =\

i was always preferential to filling in the factory plate holder holes and painting that section black (w the lettering filled in or w inserts).

pull out the stock plastic insert, sand it down, prime, paint, and clear it.

SLP grill for cheap, and if done right will look just as good, for only the price of the paint.

the price of the SLP grill is 208 at WS6store or LMPerformance i think. not cheap, but not quite $250--either way, it was completely worth it to me!

I'm still trying to convince 6 to release our 6LE grille. He's had it sitting in the shop for about a year now. It's all built and hangs there nicely.

It was supposed to be a 2010 inspired grille....it really looked bad *** on his car when he mocked it up. But I'm not sure why he never went to production with it.

i'll ask again next week.

Price point. It is just too expensive to make (water jet ALL the pieces and then pay someone to hand weld and then grind and then powdercoat), to make 10% I'd have to charge like $250

^have you seen a good painted stock grill.? it looks great when done right, and for someone trying to do something cheaper, its a great option.

i didnt say paint it, and all of a sudden it will mold itself to look exactly like the SLP grill of coarse it'll still look different, but it does have a similar vibe to it. with a nice, glossy black finish it will look great. and for the $200+ price difference, you might as well try it out. its freee

i love my SLP grill and all, but i probably would've just had my stock one painted black when i had the rest of the car repainted, if i had thought about it at that time.

painted stockers:

Yeah but is that really that bad compared to what SLP charges for theirs? Post a pic.

I thought you were making it out of ABS plastic, with some assembly required? Like it being notched and all so it would just fit together? Maybe held together with like a bonding cement or brackets on the back? Or am I thinking of a different piece?

I love my painted stock grille. Just took a bit of sanding smooth and some painting and made a world of difference. Doesn't really cost anything and looks pretty nice

I finally caved and ordered an SLP one the other day... I've always loved it, just never wanted to stomach the cost.

Can't go wrong with an SLP grille. I was running without a grille for quite some time and was surprised how much better the SLP looked. Only thing I don't like about the stock grille is that it is flat and has no depth.
