Aftermarket Hood and AIR pipe

Aftermarket Hood and AIR pipe Hey guys...
I just put on a Harwood SS style hood onto my Z28.
The hood now hits the AIR pipe going into my lid. The body shop told me not to touch the hood so it wont lose strength.
Anyone have a solution other than removing the AIR?
