Default '03 Cobra shift **** installed PICS and INFO>>>

After figuring out what I needed to make it work it was really simple. Instead of re-threadiing the Ripper stick to accept the smaller thread size of the '03 Cobra ****, I used an '03 Cobra Pro 5.0 shifter handle which is the same thread size as the '03 ****, duh. It is much shorter then stock, like having a "short stick"! and is angled towards the driver. It doesn't hit the console anywhere either.

The stick by itself would be a great mod as a plus you get to use these cool '03 *****. The **** is a much nicer leather then the factory crap and has a aluminum insert on the top with the shift pattern.

Here are some pics:

03 Cobra **** Installed Pics

If you are interested in doing the swap let me know and I can get you a handle at a real good price and let you know where to get the ****.

Is that just a short stick that would go to a Mustang, bolted to your shifter? where did you get the cobra ****, and how much? thanks..

Let me know where to get the ****, we've already talked about the handle. (Ryan212@aol.com)

$56 is a bit much for the ****

Thx.

Doped, it is an '03 Cobra Pro 5.0 shift handle. Only this one will work, others will require re threading.

ryan, I am currently searching for ***** at a better price, that is what I paid. I am still waiting on delivery of the other handles, now that I know they work.

No offense but that flameballs are gaudy and ghetto IMO. Like an autozone mod. I was looking for something that looked OEM.

well, was talking to a ford salesman today (personal friend, not dealer ripoff person) and the cost on the 03 ***** are around the upper 40's so 56 is not that bad. )

The stock, '03 Cobra T-56 shifter is a 12x1.75 thread. If you have the older 2 piece design I can sell you the handle you need. I would rather swap handles then re thread the stick, so if I ever wanted to put stock **** back on I could.

slow, I am searching for used '03 *****. So far I have not been able to find any, but as soon as I come across some I will buy them all.

Anybody wanting to buy the '03 Cobra Pro 5.0 stick so they can do this, just shoot e an e-mail.

"To each his own!" I just wanted to throw an extra possibility out there for some who might not have seen them. I don't care what anyone else thinks. I think they rock!

even better question, would a pro 5.0 for a 03 cobra bolt up to a T56 in a f-car?

If you guys have a Ford part number I will check out my price. I am a parts sales man for a BMW dealership, but we have a bunch of dealerships: ford, chevy, pontiac,GMC,buick, cadillac, toyota,
lexus, bmw, mini, dodge, chrysler, mazda, and honda. Our Chevy store has the largest parts inventory in Northeast Ohio. They do roughly $3 million a month just in GM parts! I get parts at 10% over dealer cost, with the exception of some parts. Give me the parts number of this **** and I will check my cost. Our Ford store isn't SVT yet but I have bought parts for Cobras through them, like Foglights and such. My email is scorpionracing@ameritech.net if anyone needs anything. I am willing to do what I can to help out, and I have no intention on making any profits. What I pay, you pay. Same goes for the shipping. I will need the money up front, though. Some of our dealers have a no return policy on special order parts, or parts that have been used. I will give you ALL my info, so you can get a hold of me. I don't want anyone to feel I am a scam artist! Please PM me or email! Or post here!~

Jsears- man that shifter is REALLY low. Is it hard to reach and shift that way. My fiance was a stang driver prior to us getting the 2000 WS6. We had a 95 Cobra then 2 98s along with my 99 SS. I had a Pro 5.0 in her second 98 Cobra and I had the short hander on it. It was too hard to drive that way, we constantly were missing/grinding gears. I left the shifter in but replaced the handle with the stock one and it was perfect.

Yes it is low, but not to low. You can still grab it without getting your hand tied up.

I got your e-mail. Thanks, I will get back with you when I decide on a quantity.

Justin
