Default New Look For My 69. HP Evo 19's.

Well, I loved them so much on my 35th, and got such a great deal on them, I had to try them on my 69. I love the way the car looks now. A little different, more of a pro-touring look, and I'm sure not everyone will like them, but I do.
The rears are 19X9.5 with 275/30/19 kumho tires. The fronts are 18X8's with 235/40/18's.

Next is lowering the front of the car. 2" lowering springs are on their way to my house as we speak! Thought I'd share some pictures for you guys to enjoy.

Oh, I also just added some Corbeau GTS II seats to the car as well. Love the seats, hate the headrests. Working on making some new ones.

Thanks! Not everyone will like them. I'm sure alot of people will give me this ------->

But I like 'em. Not that differen't than what alot of guys are putting on hot rods now-a-days, i.e., Fikse FM10's, Kinesis, iForged, etc. These will do until I get bored of them.

I like them.. the hyperblack goes good with the blue and your not just "another guy with billet wheels" (like I will be).. You really need to lower the front 2" and the BACK 1".. give it that low lean roadrace look

Props for taking a chance and daring to go where others fear to tread

Now come get your damn radiator..

I take back what i said in the wheels and tires section. Those wheels are starting to really grow on me on that car. I like them alot now. I think you should add a 2 or 3 inch cowl hood. And drop it like steve said to give it more of a g-machine look. Good job your car looks sweet, and i loved your old 35th

Too busy of a wheel for that kind of a car. My opinion, I mean. Reminds me too much of 100 spokes. Usually anything over 10 spokes is over-kill. The only rims with a lot of spokes that I like are FM10s. But yeah, just my opinion. And just like Steve said, I give you props for doing something VERY different

Now that I see it from a angle I like em on the car. I'd still go with something differnent if it was me, but I do like those.

i do like the design. i kinda think 18s all around would have been a little better for a 69 but still its a unique idea and it looks cool....

Thanks for the compliments, and kudos for doing something a little different. I had to at least try them on the car.
The 2 inch drop springs are on their way as we speak from Eaton Springs.
I might lower the rear about an inch or so as well, but we'll see how it looks after the front is lowered. I thought about 18's on all four corners, but the lip on the 18's is much smaller than the lip on the 19's,and I love the lip!
Steve, I REALLY need to get that radiator from you. It must be annoying holding on to it for me, and I apologize.

You know I love the wheels. You know I love the car. But I honestly can't say I love those wheels on that car. I don't gather a "performance" inspired look from those style wheels on that body style, they almost appear to make it look like a lowrider style car instead.

I like how the 19s tuck up in into the lip though, maybe you should just lower the front to match the same tuck.

Tony,
Thanks. I'm going to lower the front 2" and see how it looks then. It should "tuck" the fronts simliar to the rears. The wheels grow on me more everyday I look at them. I'm starting to think they look much better in person. Either way, I had to at least try them out.

Good point. When the 98 Camaro came out, it took about 2 years for me to consider it not so ugly. I really hated the flat black plastic grille insert. Now that we have options, I own one

"Love at first sight" factor however, is still important.

That looks isn't for me, but the cars awesome They definately remind me of 100 spokes. But I'm sure it looks different in person as well. Post up more pictures when you get that baby dropped!

This was my point. I just didn't say it as well.

It looks very pimp...just because the '60s didn't have 19s doesn't mean they wouldn't have been popular..

car looks sharp and original, the color plus the wheels, you gotta admit they make you stare. not so if it was the same ol tierd torque thrusts.
