I've done numerous searches and came up with nothing so I decided to make this. Post PICS of your car that has a different color hood than the rest of the body.

(Ex. = A red camaro/TA with a black hood)

Unless they are the older era musclecars. The only ones into thatare the ricers. With either thenlack hood or carbon fiber.there's a couple ppl on here with carbon fiber hoods but I believe they had them painted to match the car

I think a flat black hood on a red camaro or any other warm colored camaro would look great! I have, in fact, been trying to find the same info!

I've seen plenty of hoods that are different colors than the body. Some painters can't match for crap.

Yeah, I've seen some red camaro's with black hoods and I like them. My brother just got a Z and was thinking about doing it so I was going to see if anyone else has done them. And since there wasn't a thread on it. I'm not talking carbon fiber hoods, just a different color SS hood (or cowl, sunoco, etc.)

i think the only cars i've seen with black hoods on non-black cars, have been cars that have just gotten new hoods- most are VFN. and thats just because vfn hoods come black, and those people have not had it painted too match yet.

Well here's mine it wasn't painted at the time it was just gel-coat. I was surprised at how many people liked that look.

I dont think black hood on another color is that bad? Red/black. Orange/Black.... Well thats about all i can think of that would look good. The only reason i wanna do it is cause of the black rims, black berger, & tinted windows.

i had a 99 silver TA with a black WS6 hood (intill i painted it) you would never guess how many people i had come up to me and say they liekd it better black lol...oh well...

Here's my ws9 outlaw that Fireball had painted this way and I picked up from him. I like the look of the nostrils black. I may continue the theme all the way back in the form of racing stripes to the rear spoiler. Not sure yet.
