Default Firehawk hood vs. Raptor hood (PIC)

IF YOU DON'T LIKE EITHER HOOD THEN DON'T POST. THANKS.

Parked next to a Firehawk at a local Pontiac show, got a nice comparison pic. I don't remember finding one when researching Suncoast Raptor hoods, so I hope somebody finds this useful. My car has the Raptor hood without heat extractors (which are optional). Edited to make it easier to see since I had to park a little further away:

both look great. raptor is more aggressive, firehawk has a cleaner/more subtle look.

Nope. I don't own a TA and I don't regularly park next to Firehawks, so..................

Wow, when I bought my Raptor hood, the Firehawk hood still couldn't be bought without a matching VIN. It changed just about while mine was in transit and they opened up the sales. I have been disappointed for years that I didn't go Firehawk. Now that I see the 2 like that, any regret is gone! Thanks!!!

Also, i keep considering getting a Firebird/Formula bumper. I love your car, T/A hatch, Formula front with the Raptor. Your car makes me consider getting the bumper just to keep it aside while there are some in good condition at reasonable prices!

Im a sucker for a firehawk. Still looking for one.

THANK YOU for posting that pic. Some friends are calling me retarded. They think the two hoods are identical. I guess they just dont have a eye for detail like me lol.

I prefer the subtlety of the Firehawk hood. However, I like the nostril shape of the Raptor over the hawk hood.

I'm more of a fan of the Firehawk hood, but I'm alittle biased. lol. The raptor looks pretty good though, I'd go with it over a WS6. I like the WS6, but the Firehawk just looks cleaner. Does the Raptor hood close against the nose, or does it lay over the top like a WS6?

It lays over the top. Firehawks have a modified front bumper that allows their hoods to sit flush with the bumper.

Edit: I just remembered that almost all Raptor hoods have an issue with the bridge of the nostril rubbing on the bumper where it rests, and often times even cutting into the bumper there. It's covered most of the time so it's not a huge problem. It'd be a problem on a true show car though.
