Default 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Night Runner Detail

My Father-in-law recently bought this truck and I did not know this option even exsisted. It's a really cool one and when I researched I found out it came with Black Ice Chromed Rims which some jack *** swapped them out before it must have been traded. It was like someone buying a 2002 CETA Trans Am with 16" Silver Painted Twist Rims.

The process was very simple. The truck was clean but I wanted a solid foundations to allow quicker details in the future. The Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl paint really pops nicely and makes this truck really stand out.

Look at some of the reflections in the paint and the flake in the paint, i wish I had a better camera to show. Enjoy!

Process:

Wash- Turtle Wax Ice Wash
Wax- #26 Meguiar's Hi-Tec Yellow Wax Carnuba
Interior- Vaccume, Quick Detail Mist
Tires- Bleach White, Brush, Rinse, Meg's Hot Shine Spray
Engine- Meg's Ultimate Quick Detailer, Tire Shine Gel
Booster- meg's Ultimate Quick Wax

^ At this point, I need to buy a buffer and funds are tight. So "broadening" is going to take a while. We all got to grow up sometimes.

looks good.

that really blows about the rims, but it gives an AWESOME excuse to go aftermarket.

Thanks!

Yea, my father-in-law changes cars like he changes shirts, literally. It's crazy.

As for anything he enjoys going over a car/truck and redoing it right and to his level of satisfaction. He went as far as spending the $$$ on Mopar Side steps, which the truck came with some ****-Chrome deals and it looked stupid, cheapo owner swap as well. I noticed as some of the rims had curb rash too. I am sure it had to be either done by the owner or at the dealership as I have seen a CETA car with Silver Twisties being sold for the same price with ones with the correct rim!!!

I think he said the dealer wants $$$ for the factory rim so something is going on there, what, I am not sure. I will post when it happens.

Hmmm, I've never heard of a Dodge Ram Night Runner. Sounds cool though.

The night runners that I've seen had the black chrome wheels, did he swap those for the standard 20's?

This is what was on the dealer lot, I suspect either they were swapped by the previous owner or someone at the stealership got them. I see it all the time as I hear stories of people scoring some pretty good parts and swapping out rims and tires to sell a car.

Unfortunately the dumbfucks at these places often do not know how rare these rims are.

We found them at different dealerships. The N. Runner rim and price ranged from 600-850 per rim, not including rubber.

My father-in-law is more interested in a intake and exhaust before anything else.

I searched around a little and it looks to me like the Night Runners are basically just a blacked out Ram. However, it looks like you could save some money on Night Runner rims if you wanted them. They look to me like stock ones that have been powder coated graphite.

Yea, they use stock style rims but it's Black Chrome. No Powder Coat.
