Shaved door handles... anyone done it?
I was curious if anyone have shaved the door handles on their car yet. I'd really like to see what a TA with shaved door handles would look like. I think it would be pretty pimpy

My 1992 camaro has them but I will never do it to my 2002 camaro. On the LS1 cars the doors are fiberglass and it is a bitch to do, well not to do but they have lots of problems. You need to use a fiberglass bond matteral. I can't think of the name but a good body shop will know. If you use anything else the fill matteral will heat and cool and different times and show the line where the handel was. Oh and be careful when you close your door no slaming.

Thought about it too, but you'll never be allowed to race at any track, drag or roadrace, i don't go often, but would hat eto not be allowed, since with the shaved handles, they can't get you out.

Seen a guy do it to a 94, looked awesome with day old paint but after a few weeks/months you could see exactly where the handle used to be. Nice rectangular spiderwebs in that area of the door. Of coarse if you have the $$ to pay I'm sure there are plenty of awesome paint/body shops that can do it with no problems, just gotta have the bling bling. Which i dont.

We shave handles and just about anything else off that is attached. It is not a lot fun and does get to be a little pricry. I would not recommend doing it unless you were going a paint the whole car. Do remember though always install a safety release swaitch.
