Ok, since ive done the gears/cover, Eaton, torque arm, Upper PHR, relocation brackets, Pro 5.0 (all this month) and im stereo shopping.. I figured.. why stop there??? Why not go completely overboard and get new wheels..

This is a new wheel from Fiske.. an I really like it.. what do you all think?????

Then I just happen to mention that im going to get a few mods for the SS.. and she is like "no problem".. the key is to tie mods for the SS into stuff for her.. that way she actually looks forward to the SS getting stuff.. that psych class in college payed off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

So Andy, what do you think of these wheels???

Expensive but much cheaper than HRE's!! They're really nice and would certainly be awesome on your car. I guess I just like how your car looks now. If you like them, get them! You haven't made a bad decision about the appearance of your car yet so I'm sure they'll be great.

Yea, I like how it looks now also.. but I sorta felt like I "settled" for the Z06 rims due to cost.. I will mull it over for a couple days and decide.. the opinions really help <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

As far as the polishing of the center area goes.. the mirror polish the disc and then mill out the spokes.. so the mirror is ONLY on the outer surface.. its then clear coated.. the outer rim is polished and not cleared but is easy to maintain without the crevices (the hard part)

Dimples are just a little embelishment.. i dont think they are trying to make them look like rivits.. is this a fake Z06 wheel or is the Z06 wheel a fake HRE 547??? I know both this wheel and the ZO6 are split spokes but to me thats where the similarity ends.. One had exposed lugs, one dosent, the 5S has chamfered edges - the Z06 dosent, I guess the 5S just looks more refined to me.. hmmm.. and there is that weight difference..

These are the new improved Fikse wheels.. the benefits over the old series (FM5, etc) is as follows:

I'd stay with the Z06 wheels, the Z06 wheels look wider and meaner.. the ones you posted up look more like the 15" prostars wheels plus they cost way too much. I dont mean to be an *** about it but thats just the way I think... maybe its just me... or maybe it could look better when we see a pic of it installed on your car?

If you're going to go all out on rims like this, I'd look at some other options too... like some Billet Specialties or something of that sort. There are LOTS of much better (IMO) looking rims in the same price range. With as much as you're looking to spend your options are about limitless. That price range is the sweet spot for rims, have lots to choose from. Take some time and look around.

the quality of these over a billet wheel is substancial.. plus they are MUCH lighter than a same sized billet wheel..

Fikse wheels are cheap <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I like those wheels, but they won't make too much of a new visual impact on your car. I've seen a couple sets on C5s at MTI and they didn't look as "wow!" in person. I think the FM5 is a better looking wheel overall, because the Profil series gives the appearance of not having a deep lip. The face sorta sticks out more, probably why they can allow a deeper lug area.

HRE 545s would look sweet though! Here is your photoshop:

Does Fiske have a FM10 looking wheel in 18's with the new specs.. and in 18's? I think those look better than the split 5 spokes.

I think the FM5's or Mags would look better. H.R.E. do not sell for retail like Fikse, at a minimum you should be able to find a reseller willing to give you 10-15% of retail.

I thought about the Profil's also, for my car. But for the money I like Lingenfelters/HRE signature series wheel, on there site, or the HRE 547s. Or even the FM10s..

Price aside, I like the Z06 wheels better on your car though. Just looks right.
