I just peeled mine off slowly, granted it was 90+ degrees outside which probably helped, but they both came off easily, drivers side came off completely, glue intact, the passenger side had all kinds of blue left, I just rolled it with my thumbs.

And to get the outlines and wax build up off, I used a clay bar, took 5 mins maximum both sides, looks perfect.

I did mine today as well.

Did you not read the thread? DON'T ROLL IT WITH YOUR THUMBS!

I pulled the molding off and most of the glue was left.
I started to roll it but got a blister (lol) so I looked at this thread, and sure enough if you pull parallel with the body towards the front or rear of the vehicle it just stretches and lets go.

It was hot outside in Texas so I sprayed it down because the glue felt brittle.
Once it was wet I just started pulling parallel again and it was coming off just about as fast as possible and left almost no residue.

All I did was do a quick wash and it looks better than it came from the factory

Lol I wasn't planning on removing mine, then got to looking at it and decided it looked really ugly, and tacky.

Mine wasn't even straight.

Looks much better now

camaros really don't look that bad with it IMO. i didn't mind it on my last camaro, and i probably wont bother taking it off with the next one i get either.

the trans am is a different story though, they definitely look better without it.

Thanks for the video. I just pulled mine off. Took about 1/2 hour. I still have to get a claybar to remove the old residue outline that was left.

Has anyone experienced a problem with the paint matching up after removal of the side molding? I began to pull mine off today and in behind the molding, the paint looked extremely white compared to the rest of my car.....so I simply left it on for now...

All feedback is greatly appreciated...
Thanks

John

I'd like to pull it off of my 95, but am kind of worried about the paint condition. I guess there's only one way to find out and that's to do it.

Did my Camaro today. Took me like an hour because although I followed the OP's instructions, the glue still kept breaking every now and then so i had to roll some more up and start pulling again. There's still some residue that is smeared around but nothing a clay bar won't get rid of. Just have to go get one. Love how the body lines looks now though!

I started doing this yesterday in the 100° heat. Luckily I started on the little one behind the driver's side door. The molding came off pretty easy but the glue was a mess. I'm thinking that I'll take my car out to the shop tonight when it cools down a little and finish the job.

Try wetting it, just splash the hose on it.

Seemed I was able to pull MUCH larger strips without it breaking as often.

Just did my Camaro... Didn't really work out for me. Got most of the glue off, but the small piece in front of the driver door left a real thin all black layer. Looks like I'll have to get some Goo Gone tomorrow and take care of it...
