Default SS Spoiler options

so i want to add an SS spoiler to my z28.

i like the factory ls1 SS spoiler, but i don't like the center supports.

i know the mecham is out there, but it extends too far to the back of the car for my taste.

is there anyone making the ls1 SS spoiler without center suuports?

thanks
tony

Or you could have your body shop cut and fill the supports on a lS1 SS spoiler

i went with the LT1 style SS spoiler and havent looked back. even my car is an '02 it looks perfect on the car. plus there are more OEM LT1 SS spoilers out there for sale than LS1 ones.

a couple people have customized their 98+ SS spoilers to remove the supports. theres a SOM car that was posted up recently with this done, but i completely forgot what thread it was in. hopefully someone remembers and can find it.

I really wanted to go that route for like a full year, but once i saw it i didn't care for it as much. it looks good, i just like it a little better with the supports, cause they accentuate the flair of the spoiler

i don't really like the 96-97.

the big 3rd brake light takes away from the spoiler too much.

never really thought about cutting the supports off the ls1 spoiler. that sounds like a lot of body work to get it to look right.

can the spoiler support its own weight long term without the center supports? or would it start to droop in the middle?
