Where to get anti-photo license plate cover

Looking to get an anti photographic license plate cover. I think that's what I'm after. I seen one on a car at a car show and you couldn't read the plate unless you were straight behind it.

Same here! We just got photo radar and red light photo cameras. The fines are high and the extra demerits raise your insurance premiums through the roof.

Doing some research and it seems that they make anti photo covers and also anti laser ones that obsorb the radar beams. Anyone know if they make one that does both?

Re: Where to get anti-photo license plate cover

And how would you test them if they do work? Is there any kind of test besides running the light with a camera and seeing if anything happens?

Re: Where to get anti-photo license plate cover

IF you stand at an angle to them you can't read the plate. You could always take a picture to see if it comes out too. The radar testing would be tough to test though.

They work very well. I have had no tickets for either speed grabbers or red light cameras. You'll love it when you get one.

I didn't even know this kind of thing exsisted until I read through this thread. I thought all you could get was a neon or black light rim around the plate to blur a camera shot. I followed the link provided by Roarin_8 just for the hell of it. I saw the thing was only $35 so I said what the hell and bought it.

Damn the man!

Wow you bought it already? What state are you in? Can't get that in NY, the cops would be all over you because it is noticeable. That more expensive one, the 250 dollar one I think, is more stealth but more expensive also.

That's all fine and dandy, until you get a ticket because the cop can't see your license plate. A waste of money if you ask me. Either way, you'll still get a ticket if the right cop catches you. It's amazing how much it helps to just abstain from breaking the law.

anyone have a pic? how noticeable is this thing? i dont think its legal in texas but its worth looking into. i got a ticket for 105 MPH on a 65 MPH which sucked. $35 or $60 bucks would of really saved my ass.

let me hear more feedback from people who really tried this.

Cops in NY would flip, so you can get your little plate cover and get a ticket for 50 bucks everytime a cop sees you or take your chances and not run redlights

Re: Where to get anti-photo license plate cover

I want it mainly because you can't read the plate at an angle. I passes a lady doing 30mph on a double line this summer and got a warning in the mail. She read my plate (THE BLUR) and called the state cops. She apparently didn't mind the guy and the 3 after me that did the same thing. I'm sure the cops will hassle me about it but what's new. I doubt they'll like my dumped x-pipe exhaust either.
