LED's in fogs So, it is now time for new fogs. I was going to put some hids in them, but I thought about the leds. What to you guys think about that. Has anyone done this or no? How bright would they be? |
If you are worried about brightness, nothing will beat HIDs. |
|
I just got a set of 880 led bulbs for my fogs, will advise in a week or so. |
CobraHunter - that looks sweet, how's is the light output? Can you drive with just the fogs on? Cajun - I had 880 LEDs, definitely an improvement over stock but nothing major. |
They'll look bright when you look directly at your fog lights, but I don't believe they will light up the road better than stock or HIDS |
Well, they're just too low to the ground and set too far back into the front facia to serve as replacements for the low beams at night. But they do provide great supplemental lighting at night. |
hid is the way to go |
Where can I buy these HID bulbs for my fogs-thanks! |
Got mine off of eBay. |
ddmtuning |
ddmtuning.com all the way,http://ddmtuning.com/products/101/ |
6000k fogs from ddmtuning 1 Attachment(s) these do the trick for $35 |
Are you guys getting any radio interference from the hids? I bought some hids a while back, but removed them because they made the radio static when on.. I haven't tried DDM tuning ones, but I have heard good things. |
I could hear mine whine in the radio when I first kicked them on, but the whine would fade then go away completely as they warmed up and reached full brightness. |
Def HID's. LED just look good with very little output. I had LED's then got HID's. |
im gonna get ahold of my headlights and get them yellow lookin bulbs out of there for HIDs soon |
9WhiteCamaro9...you gotta do this mod asap! I would never, ever go back to halogen headlights again. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0298_large.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0299_large.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0300_large.jpg |
