I put the 70.5-74 emblems on mine. They are very similar to what you have there. They look just like your avitar.
I used the studs and drilled holes to mount mine. If you remove the studs, use a hacksaw, then finish it off with a dremel. Work carefully, the emblems are not fragile, but they aren't tough either.
The best stick'em to use is 3M emblem tape. It is pretty much just 2 sided tape and you get it from an automotive paint supply house.
That's about it. Oh, I didn't put one on the rear. I think it looks much cleaner with nothing back there.

Re: just received my 1969 .....
I used the studs for the grille emblem, cut the studs off with a Dremel tool and used the 3M emblem tape for the fenders, and used the '72-'73 foil emblem (sticker - $3!) for the hatch lid because I didn't want to try and mangle a fender emblem to match the curvature of the hatch....
Using the '69 emblems, what would look the best (to me) for the rear would be to have the C A M A R O letters filled and mount the Z/28 right under the hatch lock cylinder, just like it was done on a 1969 Z/28. Would be very sharp looking!
