Zaino Tips?
 

I am about to tackle my vette with zaino. I have ZFX Z1 Z2 Z5 and Z6 spray.

Lets here tips tricks ect....

Like everyone has said, look at the directions on Zaino's website, they are pretty good.

Do not use too much polish. It takes me 1/2 to 3/4 ounce to do my F-body. That includes the paint, windows and wheels.

Keep the applicator moist with Z6 or water . It helps spread the zAINO THIN AND YOU DONT GET "DRAGGING" OF THE applicator on the car. Do not get the applicator too moist with Z6, or you will get streaks, you only want it moist, not wet. You may have to spritz the pad a few times during the process.

Do not use circular motions to apply, most people have the "wax-on/wax-off" method of application embedded in their brains.

I have found that even though with the ZFX you can apply three coats in 24 hours, two is the most I can do. The third coat gets a little streaky. Even when I split 3/4 of an ounce three times.

Make sure it is dry when you take it off. If you use ZFX and put it on thin, it will be plenty dry in 30 minutes or so. If the polish is not dry, you will get streaks.

After you have applied your Zainop, follow-up with the Zaino detailing spray. It will get any lint left over from your towel and you will have another opportunity to get any polish you missed.

Lightly coat the aplicator with z6 occasionally while wiping on the polish. And DON'T use too much polish. You should be able to see a very light haze when dry. I would put at least 3 coats of Z5 on to cover any previous swirl marks (more if you have a dark car). When using the Z6, I like to use the applicator to wipe away the initial spray of Z6, then switch to my big cotton towel to completely dry the area.

That's about it.

Oh, by the way, with ZFX you don't need to use Z1 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
