COOL New GTO frc's for f-body
I just saw the new Holden GTO FRC'c on the LS1 engine. IMO, they look much better than the Corvette or aftermarket ones of past. They are silver and much more detailed. It looks like they should fit ours pretty well. They don't have the cutouts on the driver side for the fuel lines but looks like they might fit under the cover as the frc's stick up a bit higher. If not we'll just have to cut the slots out via dremel. The GTO letters are raised and might be easily shaved down and covered. I have a pic but cannot host. If anyone wants to see them, I can email the pic.

Im a huge Poncho guy and think the new GTO is a bit on the conservative side. But, the good news is the LS6 will be an option. I could handle a NBM LS6 GTO. That'll make it look better.

I think GM would have been better off to keep the F-bodies going or at least one of them and scrub the Aussie down under project. The Mustangs are looking better all the time and GM has nothing to fight back with except the aging costly Corvette.

Re: COOL New GTO frc's for f-body
But see, styling is subjective. I like things a little understated and a little more "stealthy". This is the same reason I chose a plain jane Z28 of a flashier SS or even an "In Your Face" WS6.
I've made this point before time and time again. The compulink equipment at the drag strip doesn't measure style, brand make, or other subjective data, just who gets their first and the time it takes to cover that 1320ft. On the street, the guy you beat isn't going to say "well...mine looks better!" It's irrelevant...you just got beat! It's kinda like the ricer argument "well, I'll beat you in the twisties!"
And besides, when I'm driving it, I can only see a little bit of the hood and a slight bit of the sides in the mirrors anyway.

Those look sweet, except weon't have our power steering resevoir on the drivers side there, so it would have an unnecessary cutout, but oh well, they still look sweet. someone will get a set soon, and start to pop molds off, and tweak them to be perfect, you wait and see.
