Default Compass/Temp Rear View Mirror

I used to have a 2000 Silverado before I got my 2002 Z28. In my truck I had the compass/temp rear view. I want that in my Z, now I know I can find one on ebay but they dont come with the wiring, temp sensor, etc. I am needing some assistance on where to look for the wiring, temp sensor, etc, and how do install it all, diagrams, web pages. Thanks for any help guys.

Not hard to install at all but because I didn't want to cut or splice my original wires I had to search around for two extra pins to fit the factory harness. Would never go back to stock.

Or you can try here: Gentex Corporation This is the company that manufactures these type of mirrors for all the different car makers.

I bought my mirror w/AutoDim, Compass,Temp from a salvage yard for $15 and then purchased the temp probe new. This particular salvage yard allows me to walk thru on my own to look for parts - these mirrors are/were in GM, Chrysler cars that I know of - I just searched thru cars till I found correct one. I'm pretty sure they didn't know what kind of mirror it was - hence the $15 price

Wiring the unit into existing vehicle wiring for stock mirror is easy - only thing to consider - the units w/AutoDim & compass or Temp do NOT come with integral map lights - so if you have a TA you will lose the map lights that usually come on with open door that are in the stock mirror.
