I'm kinda digging the revised look. The first one with the top bar just look ackward.
The lip, well it is simply awesome, it looks ALOT better than these other goofy Sonoco styled lips.

Maybe this could be something that 6LE took take up and try and do or for the guys that still have the factory grill could chop up and make something with it. Only thing I see is for the ones that would wanna do it at home, where would we get the "Honeycomb" material at to make it? If I knew where to get it I would try and make something out of this and make a "How-To" about it if someone like 6LE dosen't jump on this. Only thing I see that would be kinda a problem would be bending to material to make the "V" shape that the front of these cars make. Unless the material is somewhat flexible or could heat it up just enough to bend it with causing the plastic to melt or mess up. Sorry of all this, Lol. This is the first grille I have seen that I actually like enough to sit and wait to be made or make it myself cause like said earlier, the others are old and played out, not saying they don't look good, just saying.
