Default Sound dampening doors with Secondskin DP & LLP

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of my current project.

You can read about the products here:
http://www.secondskinaudio.com/store.php?category=119

Very positive 1st impression:
1) The doors now close with a solid Thunk...not the cheap, sheet metal sound from stock.
2) NO sound comes through the doors now. So now I can isolate FRONT vs REAR road noise. Surprisingly, it's the rear tires I hear the most (holding in clutch, idling at 50 mph).
So now I'll work on rear road noise and the muffler drone.
I still want to be able to hear my header/catback/cam...just not as loud while cruising.

Two Damplifier Pro "Tiles" on massive 2x4 doors to reduce vibration

Followed by 2x4 sheet of Luxury Liner Pro glued over tiles.

The DP tiles are peal & stick (using a small roller to press it down), but you need spray contact cement for the dense foam LLP.

I think you should be able to muffle your 10 bolt quite a bit with all the bare sheet metal around it to apply sound dampening to.

I did this to my ENTIRE car. Pulled up all the carpet, did the doors, the trunk, EVERYTHING... Its quieter than a Cadillac. That and with the sound system its a dream. Great investment over all, little pricey, but I love it.

Nice!
Did you weigh it before & after?
The 2002 Camaro brochure (I still have it!) boasts "under 3,500 lbs"
Mine with 1/2 tank weighs 3480lbs. But now I've ordered 30 lbs and then another 50 lbs of sound dampening.
Pretty soon it will be like a modern Detroit "Camaro" /Challenger /Mustang tank!

Na man, never weighed it. Sorry. But with all the work that I have done to her she sits around 3000.
