How to make white look good?

I love my white car, but I just really wish it would pop like other colors, I know theres no way of making it shine like a black car, but any tips would help!

Some pics from last year.

I really want to make the car "pop" when people see it.

Also, just finishing up my SS spoiler, should be on this weekend!

I had the same problem with mine when I first got it but got over it and realized that it's white, it's not gonna shine like black, NBM and other colors. I just try and keep it clean and waxed as much as I can. For the first part of my reply, I'm not trying to be a smartass and say that you need to get over it, lol. That's just how I thought of what I was trying to say, haha.

Looks great man. Love the white wheels.

http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...1111134223.jpg I've had a lot of people tell me ( that's the shiniest white car I've ever seen) there are a lot of good waxes but zymol does the best on my car, yeah white its not like black, red etc, also what would help if ya went to a polished wheel,

BOBS99SS 04-20-2011 07:57 PM

Car looks good though, ill take white anyday,I've had black, looks great for about 5 mins then its dirty lol

Also a slp grill would help, the gloss black would make the white stand out a lil more,I also would say a berger panel but I don't know how well that would go with your stripes,I think it would look to busy. Ccdubs make any car pop lol

paint your side mirrors and the B pillar gloss black... it will make a world of difference. and whistler mod

Im "over" it, I was just bored standing in the garage thinking, someone has got to have some tips. I like white, and LOVE my car, id never go any other way, just always striving for perfection!

The only color I would choose over white would be SOM. That being said, white will never be as "deep" as the darker colors, but imo it shows off the lines of the car much better. I use Meguiars Ultimate Wax now, and to me it has been the best I have used so far.

I don't know about you, but around dusk, when the sun is just starting to set-- the white looks so damn good.

Another thing I've noticed is the somewhat popularity increase in white sportscars. I often times see press photo's from Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ferarri amongst others showing off a new release in white. White is the new black/ red imo.

whistler mod, berger panel, and some tint. dont paint the mirrors and sail panel. its hard to find z28's with body colored roofs. every asshole has a black roof z28. its not hard to make a white car look good

I love white!!

I suggest looking into a proper wash/detailing process and paint correction with rotary. Check out M105 and M205 and then look into Duragloss 501. It is Marine grade but many people swear by it with white cars. I would come behind it with at least one coat, maybe 2 coats of DG 111 for further gloss. Most important allow each LSP to cure to the cars paint before removing.

Arctic white pops because it's the brightest color in the sun imo. It's my favorite color on f-bodies. Black accents make a world of difference in white. Just keep it clean and it will look amazing (which is easy with white)

mine is white as well and i have the same stripes.

i bought another tail panel (black actually) but silly me painted it satin black. it looks good but i kind of wished i kept it the way it was, i heard, then saw how good gloss black bergers look on a white camaro. either way if i get tired of it, i take it off and put my stock white one back on.

plus if our white cars are right under a true white street/parking light

I bought the car 5 years ago as a v6 base with chrome 5 spokes. Slapped a SS hood and some stripes on it the year following. Couple years ago dropped a bone stock 5.3 with headers in. Year after that was intake, cam, built trans, 3600 stall, etc. Since then did some suspension and interior stuff.

Started it first thing this spring and the rings were toast. Just finished a 6l H/C/I build, seems to run pretty good

Id really like to use a buffer and go at it, but I wouldn't know where to begin. Body work is far from my specialty. Is there a "how to" kinda deal with all the products listed and how to use them?

Gipraw 04-21-2011 12:17 PM

Collinite 845 has long been my favorite LSP for White vehicles. If it is applied to a properly polished vehicle, it will pop.

I've always been partial to the black and white...gloss Berger panel FTW

The problem is your wax you use is crap!! Ive used nxt. its okay but not outstanding. Most store bought stuff is just "average" or less.

TOP SECRET!! Use ADAMS POLISHES!!! First you clay bar, then you wax. If you can get the PC buffer kit http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-567-a...isher-kit.aspxand follow the steps. If not, get the hand starter kit http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-92-ad...-care-kit.aspx

Check out adams polishes http://www.adamspolishes.com/default.aspx and watch all vids, and check out all the products.

Trust me you WILL NOT find a better product and value!!! Ive tried them all!!! even zymol. Very over priced and over rated. to me its a "hype" product

Heres a few pics of my car as proof... The car is actually more glossy in person!!
