I agree that anything is better than the normal. But I also agree that this one is an 'interesting' cross between cowl and SS. Can you find a picture of it already painted on a car? Hard to decide just based on seeing it from that head on angle by itself...

Those help. I think if I saw it on a car, I'd notice it, and I wouldn't hate it. Not sure if I'd love it. But it's different and it'll stand out from the crowd, and I'm always a fan of that. The price might decide it for me. For a good deal, I could take it, if it's the same price as other options I'd probably take another option...

As a whole it doesn't seem to flow really well and too busy for my tastes. Some of the edges are curved and some are pointed and it just looks out of place. Kind of like it someone took a cowl hood and then attached a hood scoop to that.

Only colors I like the SS hood on are bright red, and black. You can see the curves and lines from the scoop much better on them. On NBM, and especially white cars a lot of the time I'll see one pass by and it looks like it's just got a flat blister scoop on a flat hood since the lines get hidden with the white paint. Any color other than red or black I would go with a cowl hood, which is exactly what I'm gonna do whenever one pops up for me.
Of course this all changes, especially on white cars if you are putting a teardrop decal to contrast and bring out the lines more, even more so with a manta decal that just makes it look like a different hood scoop altogether to me.
