Default Front Grille Changed and Detailed Car

First i'll tell you about changing the front grille of a Camaro... You apparently have to take the whole front clip off to reach the black bolts that hold the SLP SS Grille as shown below in:

and that's after removing the SLP grille and installing the Billet one i picked up from a website for about 60 bucks (80 after shipping...)

I know what your all going to say. Im sorry to say it but living in Ohio... it sucks. I had to rip the 20% window tint off the side windows. I had to spend 6 hours laying on the ground to change this front clip to put a license plate on the front because i wasn't drilling holes in that SLP grille. it's actually hanging in my room on the wall under neath my other chevy stuff.

Now for the Detailed part.

I decided to spend about 2 hours washing my car. I don't use a power ball. I don't use expensive waxes or soaps. I don't use anything special. I don't make a million dollars. But I put a million dollars worth of elbow grease into this car everytime I decide to wash it. here's a picture of what I can do if I really spend time on it.

Ohio laws require to you have a front license plate. Im not paying 160 dollars for the motorized one im putting money towards mods in college so had to save money... And electronics are bound to go bad someday especially around here.

Much better then the catfish grill. Two things I would do to it if it was my car, paint it black and a 60's SS emblem like the Berger GMMG camaros.

Was thinking about the emblems... but then i was also wondering how they would come out. i havent seen any threads on it.
paint it black? after i graduate from college the car is getting a whole rebuild. im only 18. I plan to drop an ls7 in her first. But i was wondering if i should powder-coat my rims? I think 6LE has that done.

You couldve just bought the manual one (which is like $100 cheaper then the motorized one) and kept the plate up and put it down for pics. Probably cost you around the same as the billet. That's what i used to do when i had the manual hide-away plate.

But the billet grille is nice, i like it and may just end up getting one myself. Not to sure what i wanna do, my SLP grille's paint is chipping away right now.

Why would you want to powdercoat a nice set of chrome 10 spoke rims? I'd so buy those off you. Car looks great, honestly it doesn't look bad at all with the billet.

ummm u dont have to take off the front bumper to get the grille off...i have taken mine off a few times just by pulling the pushpins out. Also as said before you could of just got a bracket to mount the front plate in front of the grille, that is what im gonna do if i get hassled for no front plate.

Wasn't going to drill holes in the front clip. A member mentioned that mod earlier though... was considering it but... if I ever want to sell the car I definetly didn't want him having noticeable holes.

Didn't want to scratch the SS grille... seen it was worth a lot of money.

It was taken with my Tilt 2. (crappy phone) May be getting a Droid x2 now so hopefully better picture quality coming with that as well.

To all you guys trying to buy my SS grille... I cannot sell it. I want to keep the original parts... call me crazy but I actually have built a room specifically for all my Chevy stuff... Sorry guys. But - http://www.lmperformance.com/3809/17.html
