17X11's with 315 on a vert ? Someone told me that i couldnt run 315's on 17X11's on a 97 trans am convertable. could anyone tell me why ? and how I could fix it so I can ? Thanks |
Re: 17X11's with 315 on a vert ? Most say you can without much trouble. The vert has a different inner fender well but as long as the car isn't lowered too much it should work. Depending on the tire, some have said that they had to "roll" the inner fender well, but you will have to check your individual application. |
Re: 17X11's with 315 on a vert ? I don't see why not. The inner wheel well of my Rag-Top is no different than the wheel well of my T-Top, so other than the typical BFH wheel well mod they should fit fine. I have 18" x 10.5" wheels on my Convertible, and other than some very slight rubbing on the undercoat they fit fine. A Convertible Camaro or Firebird starts out as a T-Top car and they chop the roof off, add a little under carriage support and "wa la" a Convertible. It doesn't behove GM financially to make different wheel wells for the same car. [ March 20, 2003, 08:42 AM: Message edited by: Xsta Z 28 ] |
