Default Safe dust removal on exterior of car?

I am looking for a safe way to remove dust from my freshly painted car. Assuming i do not want to wash it, what are the other alternatives?

I am a bit skeptic when using such sprays as zaino and meguires this time around, even with ultra soft fieldcrest towels. I just feel i am spreading it around leaving mini scratches in my clear.

I do not want to use the california duster because i know it cotains contaminates overtime that get trapped, aswell was waxes and anti static material that leave streaks. Anyone ever use or hear of this stuff? http://www.dri-wash.com/

I was thinking possibly air pressure to remove the dust. Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

This probably isn't what you are looking for but I use the cali duster and it works great for me, doesn't seem to do any damage to the paint at all. Pressurized air sounds like a good idea to me though.

I use the California Duster too and then follow it up with a detail spray, Zaino of course.

Another Cali duster user here too. I've never had any problems with it scratching (my previous SS was even black) & I always follow it up with detail spray.

I use a moist towel called the "Glosser" and they work great. My car is Pewter and never would show any scratches. But you might give them a try. They claim to be totally save. I also use them on my wifes CTS which is a dark maroon and it's hasn't scratched it. By the way the GLosser is so good I haven't wased my car in at least 2 or three months, even after it rained. All I do is use a glosser once or twice a week and I'm good to go. Check out my sig and you will see that the car really shines. Good luck with whatever you use! <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

On a BRAND NEW paint job I wouldn't do ANYTHING but used straight water and 100% cotton towels to rinse off dirt/dust. No soap or "treatments" for at least 30 days. It may "swirl' a little but nothing that once you can wax it won't cure.

Just my opinion.

But after it is cured and you are in a full service routine, a California Duster followed by a nice "Quick Detailer" spray works wonders.
