What about wax applicator pads?

I have no idea.... Did you try to buy it and get denied shipping because you live in Hawaii?

They have these, pretty standard: http://www.carpro-us.com/foam-applic...icators-tools/

If you hunt around some more on detailers domain, autogeek, detailed image, you may want to pick up a 100ppi foam pad, softer and nicer, but costs more.

Picked up a leather seat back portion and when I got it home to clean it, the leather has some kind of stain in the leather. I tried just basic cleaning with soap/water but it didn't remove it. I have no idea what the stain is from so is there any suggestions on products to try to remove it?

No idea that's why I'm stumped what to try. It's brown in appearance and if I had to guess something like auto oil for it happened out of the vehicle when in the guys garage by the looks of it.

Best is with a hot water extractor or steam. Barring that, a very light APC and a microfiber with gentle pressure.

the direction you wipe it doesn't matter. Just apply it thinly with a foam pad.

Try a dedicated leather cleaner like Zaino Z9, Leather Masters, etc.... You can also try steam.

The cone will mold to the shape but not enough to put proper pressure in the corners. You'll need to to them by hand.

You're not using wheel polish right?

No I'm not. I was using swirl and haze remover followed by machine polish. I tried the polish both by hand and with the cone and still no luck.

A search of this sub-forum found this thread, and a search of this thread found this post.

I was trying to clean my hatch this afternoon and was having issues. It seems no matter how hard I try, I can't clean glass.

A while ago I googled for basic tips. I landed upon the microfiber advice above. I bought some Zep Foaming Glass Cleaner, which had the same ingredients list as Invisible Glass, from Home Depot. Using some microfibers I already had, it did a killer job on the large mirrors in my house. However, on my (02) Trans Am's hatch, no matter how many times I hit it, no matter how many times I change up the cloth surface (or switch to a new cloth), I still have some sort of grease or oil or something (no idea what it is) that seems to just get pushed around.

I'm sure it's cleaner than before I did it, but, it's still not actually clean.

Anybody have any advice? Any idea what that film is and how to get rid of it?

If it grease, window cleaner will not cut it. You need a degreaser first then follow with glass cleaner. What kind of MF were you using?

Like I said, no idea what it is. It's generally garage kept, but does sometimes see rain use and occasionally get rained on overnight on weekends. Any recomendations on a degreaser to get?

The MFs I use are the basic ones you get from Pep Boys. The ones that seem to snag grab at your skin if it absolutely isn't baby smooth. (and which also seem impossible to clean if they get dirt in them as they do not let it go )

After using clay bar, what meguiars products should i use on my car with clear coat? I know i need a polish and a wax but Meguiars makes so many different things what do you recommend? And am i missing anything after the wax i should use between the times i wax?

Ive had great luck with Meguiars and would prefer to keep using there brand at all costs.
Thanks for your help.

Invest in the ultimate line. Pick up some ultimate compound, ultimate polish and some ultimate wax. UW is a synthetic wax so it lasts longer than a traditional carnauba. UW still looks great on dark colored cars. My personal preference for a Meguiar's polish would be M205. It's more versatile than ultimate polish. Ultimate polish is derived from M205. The difference between the two is that M205 offers more correction while ultimate polish offers more polishing oils. You can pick up M205 locally as well at places like autozone and pep boys. Even harbor freight.

Also pick up some ultimate quik wax. Use it in between washes. It will boost the layer of wax until your next round of polishing.

PM if you have questions. I am familiar with a majority of Meguiar's products.

This is a good kit. Online only.

Awesome thank you for the response. So after the clay bar i should do the ultimate compound, ultimate polish (m205) then ultimate wax....in that order? Then use quik wax in beween? So say three weeks later wash the car then spray on some quik wax?
