911 turbo correction detail

Long time client of mine made an upgrade and picked up this beautiful 911 turbo recently (my favorite bodystyle outside the 2012 GT2 RS). Car scheduled for a correction detail to get it looking good and protected before the bad weather comes arrives. The car had been driven from up in Washington out to CA so all the bugs are from the trip, not neglect. About 11 hours into this one and 90% correction was achieved. Goal for this car was 70% or better, so it was great to get 90% on it. Anyway onto the pics!

The wheels were cleaned with Sonax Full Effect. This stuff is awesome. It turns purple as it reacts to the iron particles and starts disolving them while perfectly safe for the finish of even the most expensive and sensitive wheels.

After the wash, all the previous wax has been stripped from the paint. Zero beading left.

Interior was tidied up. All leather was cleaned with Zaino Z9 leather cleaner then conditioned with Adams Leather Conditioner. Soaked in nicely to the leather hides and left a supple feel behind.

Looks great as always. I always love looking at your pictures but end up feeling like I don't deserve my car with its swirls and what not.

bj350hp 11-12-2011 02:40 PM

BFWD FTW! Looks great!

What do you think of the Blackfire Midnight Sun wax?

I have some but I am yet to use any of it my Firehawk.

MRMonster 11-12-2011 02:46 PM

That car look amazing. I'm sure it look many hours to get it to look like that.

CamaroSS27 11-12-2011 03:26 PM

dang I like that blue a lot!

beyonddisturbed 11-12-2011 09:12 PM

sick porche. i like that blue. nice job as always

HotWhipT/A 11-12-2011 10:37 PM

Did you do a 2 stage polish on it?

How do you polish the clear bra? Is it different process to polish than paint?

titter 11-13-2011 01:23 AM

Nice save. What was the process?

The Sonax Full Effect is awesome stuff. I also have come to like the Sonax Paint Cleaner especially on my red car. Makes a good final polish, and works well by hand for jams/under hood as well. I just finished off my SS a few weeks ago, DA with the Meg's MF cutting and D300 utilizing the KBM, and their finishing with D301, and finished off with the Sonax Paint Cleaner on a black pad. The D301 didn't finish out as nice as I wanted and left a slight bit of hazing, noticeable under my Brinkman, not bad but there. I figured I would try the Sonax on a black since it's non-diminishing and has a carnauba. I was shocked at how well it cleared up the hazing with zero marring. I have used it mostly by hand in the past, never on a pad. It will work even better on softer paints.

Wow OP your are the master at detailing!! Great work !

dabest09 11-13-2011 08:25 PM

Amazing work. What did you use to get rid of those terrible bug marks? I bought some Stoner's tarminator but haven't tried it out. My gf's front end looks almost as bad as that porsche, so I'm going to have to clean it soon.

02ws.sik 11-13-2011 08:31 PM

Nice jow much do you charge for this?

LE35thSS 11-14-2011 01:27 PM
