Default Chrome Pontiac Lay-ins (PONTIAC)

Any tips on how to do this, and make them stick well?

Mine didnt stick to well @ first... but after a few hours, maybe a day they stuck pretty good... I was discouraged until they stuck.... It is a tedious job placing them suckers in there just right, but its well worth it. IMO.
Clean the surface with finger nail polish remover first... A dry application is recommended for chrome..
Wait is this the sticker, or the stainless inserts? Mine are stickers.

Thanks for the help, I want to make sure they stick well!

Just rub down the surface with rubbing alcohol, also make sure the surface isn't cold, otherwise they are gonna probably fall off after the first time you attempt to wash the car.....

Yes, but the inserts are still stuck on with tape..What methodology did you use to make them stick?

Why F*#$& around with cheesy stickers???
I got the first ever prototype set of PONTIAC letters from MBA.
They are perfectly die-cut metal letters that fit right inside the cutouts, not some stickers that will slide all over and never fit right.
It's just a few dollars more for an awesome look.
Check it out and you tell ME if it's worth it.....

I agree with Dawg One, I got some polished stainless inserts also and they are great. As far as keeping them stuck I couldn't take these back off with anything less than a screwdriver, so you better have them where you want them when you apply em.

How much are those polished inserts and where can I get them??

I'm thinking about having a guy I know who does pinstriping and a lot of custom artwork on cars just paint it in with a nice silver color......

Yeah. I had silver reflective and chrome vinyl in the rear PONTIAC, and finally smartened up and got the MBA insert. It's 10x better...looks better, easier to install, and will never come out.

When the chrome "Formula" overlays I have start peeling off (it'll happen eventually,) I'll shell out the dough for the MBA side scripts for those, too.

Only one problem w/inserts: Wax/polish buildup, so make sure you occasionally use an old toothbrush to get into those small crevices.

I have a set of chrome CAMARO inserts that I have had for probably 4 months. I tried to put in the M first and gave up. I cant get it to fit worth a damn since the chrome "sticker" is almost like aluminum foil and has ne means of giving to help you put it in straight.
