Wrong.

It's a '67 Chevelle emblem. The '69 is too big and has the wrong angle to match the grille.

1. How come everybody on this forum was quoting the 1969 Camaro emblem as being correct for this grill? I have never heard mention of the 67 Chevelle emblem, prior to this date.
2. I have National Parts Depot, Year One and Ausley's Chevelle parts online catalogs pulled up in front of me and I still can't find the blue bowtie for the 1967 Chevelle. There is one for the 1969 which looks as though it could fit, but two of you have said 1967. So what company do I have to call to find this elusive emblem???

Tony

P.S. I just love this post by you two back in June. You really helped Assassin out here!!

It is my understanding that the Chevelle did not have the bowtie emblem for 67 it would be a 69 emblem yet different then the Camaro 69 emblem (fit, shape, curves)

Thanks
Sean

We modified the 69 camaro bowtie to fit a Stuhl grille on TDawg's car. It only required some minor shaving to fit. We used a dremel, and had it installed in 10 minutues. Looks great.

Maybe tdawg will chime in with some pictures. I only have this one:

If you look at the picture JonSS posted and the picture on the GMMG website of the ZL1 the badges look identical.
I was positive that I was right the first time with the 69 Camaro emblem.

I think the 69 Chevelle emblem would be too small. IIRC my buddy has a 69 Chevelle and the emblem is only about 4" wide.

From what I was told it is Not a 69 Camaro emblem my buddy at Tom Henry said I just got off the phone with him. He believes it's the 69 Chevelle bowtie emblem.

I'll see if I can call my buddy tonight. Have him run out and measure his 1969 Chevelle grill emblem. I still think it's too small though
I've been wanting to do this mod for awhile now. Good thing I held off on getting the emblem. Someone should get to the bottom of this mystery.
I'll probably end up buying the 69 Camaro emblem. It's not like I'm trying to make a ZL1 replica out of my Z28.

If it's not the '67 Chevelle then it is DEFINATELY the '69 Chevelle. It is NOT the '69 Camaro emblem, that is certain.

I know it is DEFINITELY NOT a 1969 Camaro blue bowtie. Too big, too much angle. Maybe it is the 69 Chevelle emblem. Matt Murphy told me what it was from and I forgot.

Looking at it more and looking at photos of the Chevelle I am sure you guys are right on that this is the 69 Chevelle emblem.

In that thread they were talking about the fender emblems which say ZL-1 Supercar which IS custom made for GMMG and you will not be able to buy that anywhere.
