Firebird gauge mounting, double Din to 2 single Din units w/ gauge mount
I need a spot to mount three 2 1/16" gauges in my 94 Firebird. I don't really want to put them in the AC vents, and I don't like the looks of the pillar pods.
So I was wondering if I could use a double DIN stereo faceplate and mount 2 single DIN units inside of it; one being my CD deck, the other a DIN to 3 gauge mount adapter like this:
http://www.egauges.com/vdo_indA.asp?PN=PAN-001
This way I can keep my AC vents & cd player and not have a pillar pod.
Do you think this would work? Has anyone tried something like this before?
