Default Are all LT1 headrests thicker?

Last night I saw a 1993 LT1 Formula and had the thinner LS1 style headrests. I told the guy those must have been changed and he insisted that they are the originals. Now car had a lot of options including lumbar support. Do the thinner style also available pre-1998?

Formulas received the skinny (late model style) headrests.
Trans Ams received the larger bulging headrest.

That would explain it then. It was a Formula with the optional V8, in leather.

Dont ya know, the reason for the thicker head rests on the lt1 cars is to contain you in place due to extreme massive bottom end produced by the opti sparx arc welder like ignition. Now you know and knowing is half the battle.
