Finally finished my engine bay, the way I want it.

I installed some Speed Inc high flow rails tonight and I think it has completed my engine bay. Unless any other crazy ideas come into my head.

Please excuse the dust, I will be getting in there this weekend to clean it up a bit.

I cant believe you have all that nice stuff in your engine bay and you still run that POS power steering cooler...You need to loose that before it takes a crap in your radiator!

Other than that nice job...

I would relocate the coils to where they are off the valve cover looks good though.

mikh338 04-03-2012 07:19 AM

what kind of valve covers are those? they looks sweet!!

JUSTINSWS6 04-03-2012 07:21 AM

Go to ebay and search custom valve covers ls1

This. I had it happen to me sorta, but it took a crap into my power steering box...Needless to say it was deleted afterwards. They're a good idea, but the oem ones are just downright unreliable.

Dang that looks pretty dang good! how hard is it to hide the throttle cables?

BoricuaHec01 04-03-2012 09:11 AM

Dopeness.

Dont kid yourself.....no one is EVER done

The original PS cooler isnt hooked up, its just a solid section of pipe. I have another Hayes cooler plumbed in up by the front air damn. The valve covers are from KMJ enterprises. With the exception of a jacked up gasket they work great.

Wicked 94TA 04-03-2012 11:16 AM

Where did you get that plate that covers up where the A/C hoses used to connect?

firemech21 04-03-2012 11:57 AM

I made that last year when I rebuilt the motor and removed the A/C parts. I didnt want any contaminating the system, in case I ever decide to reinstall it.

Good to know and I am sure you also know you can get the regular hose for cars without that POS cooler and its just one long hose, does away with that pipe. I was going to have mine painted until I had the "issue" w/coolant in my power steering sys.

Nice job.

firemech21 04-03-2012 03:55 PM

I do know about the coolant hose, I just dont really care for the rubber. I like the way that the cooler looks in the line, just dont like the way they normally leak.

Hiding the coils would make it look more clean. But looks good right now

mprete 04-04-2012 09:32 PM

wow that textured paint and those valve covers look great. I want to do something like that when I finish my motor.

firemech21 04-04-2012 11:14 PM

Thanks for the compliments. I have been fighting everyone over the coils, I just like them on top. lol weird I know

mprete 04-04-2012 11:17 PM

i like them on top with that paint on them. it looks super clean. great job

A billet PS and idler pulley would be a nice touch.
