How does this ride height look?

26" in the front, 27" in the rear. I'm hesitant to lower the rear any more, I have 3" of compression travel (really less, the tire touches the outer fender before i get to frame). To get lower I'd have to run narrower tires or more negative camber.

looks good

Super-Bat 04-21-2012 10:39 PM

I like it. What's your set-up?

lees02WS6 04-21-2012 10:43 PM

Koni SA's with strano springs up front, re-valved Koni DA's rear with a 288 in/lb leaf on lowering bolts.

94LT1TA6spd 04-21-2012 10:46 PM

I think that it looks great!

chaman 04-21-2012 10:51 PM

Looks good but it needs a bit more of a drop in the back, IMO.

I'm thinking that too, but that's a wheel rehoop and new tires. I could add camber, and then i'll need new tires sooner, lol.

I've thought about running nitto's also. The GS-DS3's just run so damned wide.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I've seen your car, Austin Auflick's, SHovV's car, and those wide meats are great. In this case, for me, wide isn't always better.

I can pick wide and rake, or less wide, lower and more level (without adding more work of course). I say I can add camber, but if I did that I'd probably hit the inner fender well. There's just not a lot of room to play with.

I could run Nitto 315's probably and have fewer issues.

It looks good, i like a little rake anyways, nice work!

dabest09 04-22-2012 12:46 AM

Do the hose mod and it'll sit perfect.

Why does the position of your rear caliper so high up?

whytryz28 04-22-2012 02:29 AM

Whats the fender lip height from the ground? Anything higher than 26" its gotta come down.

scj 04-22-2012 02:44 AM

Are you running c4 IRS?

Can't, see above. I can adjust the ride height by loosening, or tightening the nuts on either end of the spring though.

26" front, 27" rear

lees02WS6 04-22-2012 06:54 AM

No can do, IRS. I'll lower, and raise the compression damping.

The whole thing needs a wash, it's been in the garage since Oct 2011, and has only been out for short test drives since Oct 2010. I have been changing the fluids though.

I literally dusted it off.

Well, shit. LOL! Whatever you do keep us posted.

sscamaroburn02 04-22-2012 12:55 PM

Perfect stance IMO. What setup is that?

Thanks, now I just need to fix one exhaust clamp, get it aligned, break in the rear, clean it up, and get a professional photographer to take some good shots of it.

Looks perfect. I wasn't a fan of those wheels before I saw them on your car. Not sure why they didn't look good on other F-Body's I've seen, but they look great on your car.

Thanks, like I said in the stance thread, I get mixed reactions. There's no "I love those wheels" comments, they are a plain design. I like them better than the speedlines though. CCW 505a and iforged aeros are my favorite. I wouldn't run anything over a 17" wheel because I like having the sidewall height for ride quality.

I like the wheels on Chaman's car, as well, as SHovV's, Austin Auflick's, and some others. So, I'm often tempted to change them.
