SINISTER build (update 2/8/13)
#102
Not a whole lot going on lately. But I did do a couple things. I made a hvac block off plate, and radio mount out of plexi glass.
I also managed to get my box wrapped up.
I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on it here lately.
But progress is progress.

It's getting there no need to rush a good thing. Btw, that s2k looks good, even with the vents cut. That gun slinger guy always has something negative to say haha

Link to said thread!? Lol
As far as the "gaping hole" you're referring to.. It was welded shut and filled and smoothed out, which I'm still currently working on.
The factory tank was removed, battery moved to trunk, and hole welded shut with a panel and smoothed with body filler.
For a coolant overflow tank, I will have a 90* an fitting off the radiator neck and routed down and under/behind the frame rail where the coolant overflow tank will be mounted.
On to a semi update:
Picked up some corbeau seat rails to mount my seats to once I order them.
Also snagged a satin stretch car cover to help keep the car alot cleaner.
This thing is awesome. Best investment ive made for a while. It will really do well once the car is painted.
Not a big update, but I'm preparing for my daughters birth here in a week or two, so this build will slowly creep along as money and time permits.
Thanks for those still interested. I'm not going to skimp out though.

The cover is a satin stretch cover from jw motoring. Google jw motoring and it will come up. No link. Too lazy for that.
The box itself was built by a friend of mine that actually builds custom boxes and does competition audio himself for a living. It's spec'd for my sub, and the faceplate is cut to fit nicely in the top well. This setup in my car is a digital designs 8" sub, so finding the space to accurately and efficiently do a single ported 12" may be a little harder because a ported box is not just a ported box, it's gotta be setup and tuned correctly for the sub/power combo to make the best sound. Ported sounds so much better than sealed though.
