Default anyone use dupicolor metalcast paint (underhood parts)

Just wondering if anyone has used the dupicolor metal cast paint or had anything anodized? I guess that paint gives that effect but couldnt find to many pics online of the metal cast smoke, just seeing if you guys have done anything with it, some of the pics ive seen it looks like killer stuff

Used it on my calipers, came out like poop. Another guy on here had good success with it so who knows. Could of been shitty prep on my part but I couldnt get it to come out good at all..

I have used it with good success, however it does not hold up well at all. If anything gets on it the paint instantly bubbles and falls off. FYI I also tried a bake on clearcoat over the paint and it still didnt help.

I took my car out in a light drizzle the day after paiting my calipers. Two of the calipers starting running when they got wet..

for it to work right you need to spray it on chrome or highly polished metals or else it looks like crap. i tried it on my wheels (was bored) but sprayed too many coats so it didnt look that great.

That was my plan,i polished my vcovers,tb,maf ends and fuel rails, thats why i was looking into this, also what is a good color to go with, the bay is white, and the car has a white n black theme going on,the color i was going to add is silver, but that paint looks good in red/blue/orange whats a good idea with out going over board

think they have a black chrome looking one that might look good. red or blue would be fine.

I've used tons of Dupli-color's stuff, I'm pretty impressed overall with there line of paints. Most paint results are a product of proper prep and technique though, a good painter can make cheap paint look pretty darn good and vice versa.

So far i have painted a bunch of brackets and alot of other parts using dupicolor perfect match paint and im very happy with everything,i think im going to get a can of the smoke metal cast or try the black chrome kit (even though ive heard thats more like a gloss black) i just dont want polished parts, i want a more dark theme
