The New HID/LMC Housing Write-up **Updated**
#103
What's funny is the amount of effort people go through to upgrade their lights. I put in Silverstar stock replacement lights years ago and they work just as well as the stock headlights in my 2016 Fusion which are halogen projectors. If I want more light, I will buy the plate on ebay, some Hella projectors and an HID kit and be done.

I received my LMC Headlights and bulbs today and installed them on my lunch break. Need to replace 2 bulbs and figured these would be a good option with room to upgrade later if i wanted.
They look awesome on the car and the bulbs they come with do produce more light than stock. I may try and install 9011/9012 bulbs at some point maybe when it gets warmer but these are great. No plans to do HIDs if i wanted that i do a whole hit but this was cheap enough and quick enough swap to make it worth it!
No idea why these are not listed as direct replacements in any firebird catalogs...

That depends on the LED and the housing. Most have poor output because they don't correctly use the optics of the housing to form a proper beam for forward distance lighting.
The only ones I've seen that are passable are the Philips H4 and some clones. Still not 100% match on beam pattern, but passable.
Here is a comparison video showing how bad some can be. This comparison was in a projector. It would have been worse in a reflector due to glare (HID in Halogen Reflector is bad too, some Halogen Projectors handle HID alright). Notice how there is no more center hot spot. That hot spot is needed for distance.
If you found some good ones, please share.
This next video has the style that often gets closer to the original beam pattern. It's hard to tell in the video but it appears to still have a hot spot. However there may be some bowing or its just where he was filming. They are adjustable. Skip to 11:15 to see pattern. This video is also on projectors though.
However, given the tight space on a Firebird, I don't know how any of these fit. Do you have pics of your setup?

I used the Broview S5 9006 HB4 headlights. They are the fanless type. There are no install issues. The flip up motion is not affected at all. The fog lights are LUYED brand 880 type bulbs. Both are pure white.

The LED placement of those Broview seem alright (the ones that I found use the small ones in a line to emulate the original Halogen filament), but there has been some concern on the effectiveness of those "ribbon" style heatsink. Typically they are insufficient. Hopefully yours last a while.
If those LUYED LED are the ones i found, they don't provide effective forward lighting. They light up the housing and some light does get projected outward which is enough for brakes and signals, but they don't provide forward illumination in a good beam pattern.
Do you have any pics of the beam pattern of the Broview in the LMC Housings especially in comparison to the original Halogen bulbs?

The LUYED fog lights are not as bright as the Broview headlights, but match the headlights in color, that being pure white. The OEM fog lights were not bright either and had minimal forward illumination. The LUYED's are way better than OEM. There is another upgrade for brighter fog lights, and forward illumination, but not needed in my opinion due to the Broview lights get the job done.

93-97 housings are larger. You actually have more options there. Just avoid the fake projector ones (they have a hunk of glass stuck in them to fool people into thinking they have projectors but don't and have a horrible beam pattern instead).
I think the 4x6 sealed beam conversion housings are roughly the size you need for a 1993-1997 Firebird. Try to stick with a major brand (Hella, Bosche, etc) if you want the best output. There are plenty of other aftermarket companies that make them, but I don't know what their outputs are like.
