Default New seat covers for my 99 Hugger

Finished installing my new seat covers today; purchased them from Lethal Interiors and I think they kick ***. Had her do a black outer with orange houndstooth. I'm also redoing the door panel piece that was fabric that matched the old seats to be the same black material as the seats. Once I get them done I'll post up pics of the completed work. One of the best mods I've done on a car with a shitload of mods. I think I'm finally done modding this car.....

Those look freakin amazing, and nice touch with the 2014 Z/28 style logo. Everytime I see her stuff I'm continually impressed. Either your just better at installing seat covers than most, your foam wasnt worn at all or her seat covers just fit alot better than some of the mainstream companies. The latter must be true as every pic Ive seen of their covers, it fit nice and snug like OEM.

yeah her stuff seems to be really well done. quite a few of the people who have posted her work here didn't prep the foam though, so some of them didn't have everything fit together quite as nice.

I'd love to get my seats done, but don't think I'd like any red mixed with the grey interior..

I think in a TA like yours, something like the ZL1 seats would be pretty sweet. 9002 dark grey Alcantara inserts, ebony leather bolsters with red stitching.

I thought about it but was thinking that may be too much orange. Yours does look cool though. I'm just going to change the piece with the current fabric with a new black piece. Btw; doing the door panels is a pain in the ***, but I'm sure I saved a couple hundred bucks doing it myself. Got one done tonight, the other tomorrow. Should have everything in by the weekend.

Thanks vert. I grabbed a good pick of the 2014 emblem online.Princess had a company digitize it and then send it to her emblem maker. I really thought the emblem turned out sweet.

My car only has 60k on it so the foam was in good shape. I went over the foam with a fabric steamer first ( per her instructions) it makes it expand. I'm impressed with her work!

Here's what I would do.... do what your currently doing which is the upper door panel, but do it in the SAME material that the "seat outers" are.

Then do the lower panel in the same orange that the seats are. (I have that same fabric in stock and the templates for the lower panels) It will look AMAZING and not too much orange at all. It'll blend in since it's so low on the door, it wont stick out. It'll be the piece that ties in the whole interior. And if you have McNord gauges, then whole interior will be done.

Just my $0.02

The seat covers were pretty easy. The door panels sucked.

That looks awesome. You 97+ guys got the good seat pattern for it.

Mine would look goofy if I tried.

Thanks Sommer. I'll think about it; I read where the lower part of the panel is easier to do than the upper. Gonna check out the McNord gauges too.

I dont think it would. Take the seats in this pic, with the better quality looking leather leathal interiors uses as well as a double french seam on the perimeter stitches like the 97-up's. I think it'd look good.
