Default Manta from 3M 1080 Vinyl

Hey guys, just wanted to share some picks of the Manta decal my fiance and I did yesterday with the 3M 1080 vinyl. This is the first time we have done decals before and we probably started on something that was out of our league but it turned out really good. It took us about 2.5 hour to complete the graphic.

Yes I think it turned out good for the first time my fiance and I have done graphics. I am working on the rear spoiler and spoiler now, I will post pics when I am done. Of course I made the rookie mistakes, but thats how we learn right.

Yes knifeless tape. If you do it, make sure you measure, measure & measure again.

Looks awesome! I don't think I've got the patience or a steady enough had to do this. All my vinyl and sticker installs end up crooked or with air underneath. Can't wait to see the spoiler!

Thanks, I plan to have the rear spoiler and trunk lid complete tonight if I get the time. I am also plasti dipping SS emblems and the bow tie in the back. Should make the car look a little meaner to the eye.

That looks great. How much was this stuff? I want to do the ram air portion of the hood on my WS6.

This is where I purchased the vinyl. Of course you can find cheaper brands but 3M has a good rep so thats why I went with the 3M brand. I purchased the 60x72 length and I will have quite a bit of extra left over. The ram air portion of our hood should be really easy to do.

Here is the rear trunk lid and the top of the spoiler. Its not perfect but for the first time doing this and without having lazer cut graphics, i think it came out great.

What do you guys/gals think, keep it or remove it?

looks good! So far it seems like the 1080 is way more durable than the older di-noc stuff too

the 1080 is actually made for this. it's specifically for automotive, outdoor use. on the other hand, Di-noc was made specifically made for architectural use, indoors.
