for you dumping the exhaust before the axles, there is a thread showing how easy it is to mock them up using an l bracket and a little spot weld.

I had custom tips on my Firebird. 6LE 2.5" stainless steel CME styled individual ovals. Very few liked them (online and in person). I eventually sold them back to 6LE to sell to another customer that wanted them. They would have been perfect if they had been tweaked to the lines of the Firebird instead of a 6LE split-CME bumper, but I didn't have the cash/need to have such a tip made.
I have these on my car right now ($40 each, IIRC):
The above pic is an old pic, before I fixed the height of the passenger side tip. Both tips now have a roughly 3 mm gap from the bumper and look pretty much like a nice OEM setup. Took a lot of loosening/prying/tightening.
I have some super nice Magnaflow oval tips with 3" inlets sitting in storage, waiting for when I upgrade to a 3" exhaust system. I'll have to check the part number when I get home to be sure. I think it is these (#35171):
$120 each, roughly.

We're are you going to locate your electric cut out? Ill be doing the same since I'm going turbo. Are you going to angle it? I've had open headers before and it wasn't fun with all the lose change around lol.
