Default HID LIGHTS Melting?

I jus had a quick question for those of you running hid in 98-02 trans am... I wanted to put these in my car but iv herd alot about them melting the housings is this true? Is there anyway around this

simple solution is to find some OEM 93-97 T/A fogs, there glass and metal and swap the mounting brackets over. you could get by for a while if you make sure to run 35-watt HID ballast and not 55-watt ballasts (they make more heat), personally the glare from HID's in the stock housings is unacceptable to me so I went back to stock.

also just try looking on here I know there is a thread on the main page posted just a few days ago that covers most of this and also try doing a search instead of starting another HID in fogs thread, we have more then enough of them already.
