HID Fog Light Question

HID Fog Light Question so I was thinking about getting my ta another xmas present, and I decided on hid fogs. Just wanted your guys opinion on what is the best kit to go with. I was thinking about 6k or 8k. pics of both would be cool.

I don't think you can go wrong with either 6 or 8k. They both look good. 6 will be a little brighter might be your better option. I don't have any pics of my 8k bit I like them alot

On my truck i got some ddm ballast for the fog lights. on my Bonneville it already had 8000k when i bought it.
One of the bulbs blew so i switched em out to 6000k.

I have 6k on my TA fogs, but like the pic above on the bonneville... They do look slight greenish. I wanted them to be more blue like the 8k and my headlight HIDs.
Not sure if you mention housings, but you shouldn't use the stock if you are changing to hid.

Not when they are in the fogs, I don't run them in the head lamps but my buddies do and they are not bad, unlike some of these vehicles throwing hid kits and spraying light every which direction
I have 6k from ddm
The stock fogs actually handle them surprisingly well. I don't have to use my headlights they are plenty bright. If I park next to a wall with them they have a sort of "cutoff" so they don't glare up and blind people. I was very surprised.

personally I wouldn't suggest it, fogs use lower kelvin temps for a reason 5000k and up is just the wrong color for a functional fog light to be of any use in actual FOG and the higher you go the less light you get, anything over 6000k and the blues and purples start to come in and the light output goes to crap, I don't get why people like the look of 8000k's so much, to me they look like total RICE on these cars. 2700k to 4000k is the range fogs should be in to actually work for fog, don't believe me, google it.
also FWIW, while it may be less an issue on T/A bumpers since the fogs are sunk so far back, don't use HID's on Firebird/Formula bumpers you WILL blind the living hell out of people, trust me, I put them in and saw the glare and swapped them back because of the glare, those that aren't seeing glare from that situation probably just have really CRAPPY ballasts, see this video for a quick comparison:

I agree on the "temp rating" too. However, it depends on the brand. Personally I wouldn't go over 5000k but everyone has their own opinion. With the retrofit I had on my last car I have 55w 5000k from TRFS and they were pure white and perfect. I've seen cheap ebay kits that are "5000k" that look more like 8 or 10.

the HID's I have for my headlights, once I work out the mounting are 5000k Morimoto bulbs with 35watt ballasts purchased from Amazon using the criteria described in the video. They look great, nice and white, see pics and keep in mind this is just one projector loosely positioned.

Those look fantastic. Did you have to mess with the wiring or just plugged bulbs in?

I've run 35W 4300 or 5000k in my standard Firebird fogs for years, and as stated above, I rarely use my pop-up headlights in most around town driving.
I've also never been flashed at, waved at, bothered by cops or anybody else about blinding oncoming traffic. They're mounted too low to get into people's lines of sight. The spread pattern of the light is also much wider and better than with the T/A setup.
