Default Camaro emblem MELTED all over paint - How Do I Get It Off??

I recently purchased a '99ss that is pretty much mint. Only one minor issue...the clear (epoxy like) finish on the Camaro emblem melted in the hot Florida sun and the car cover smeared it all over the nose of the car. I'm wondering if anybody can suggest a paint safe solvent, or technique to get it off of my otherwise perfect red paint.

So far i tried 3M adhesive remover just cuz I had it on hand, but it did absolutely nothing. My next thought is to try to soften it up with a blow dryer or something.

Anybody else ever had this happen???

Thats pretty crazy. Ive never has that happen to me. The first thing I would try is some goo gone and then try some hot water that your just able to handle and soap after letting the goo gone soak.

Got any pics

goof off or lacquer thinner. but lacquer thinner will require you to buff that area. we use it to remove road paint, tar, and tree sap off of cars. just use the lower # thinner, we use #5. it will work quickly but has the downside that use need to buff it. a pic would help tho.

Ive never seen the Sun do that emblem unless it was not the Sun but perhaps a chemical? Or could it be the emblem is not OEM but a crappy aftermarket one? Weird.
