Google search "Triton V3 Bulb" pulled the first link

Tranz Zam 03-05-2014 10:11 PM

I like those, but they're damn expensive!

scj 03-05-2014 10:16 PM

Yeah. Looks awesome but at $100-140 per set you'd be looking at nearly $500 in bulbs for the complete set for 1 Fbody. That's outrageous.

_JB_ 03-06-2014 01:17 AM

We need daylight, in the sun pics to show how good these are. These actually exceed stock lights a little and put all other led bulbs to shame. My amber ones are still on backorder after a month. :(

Tritons

Didn't manage to get any with the brakes applied & the crappy iphone pics don't do them justice in the second picture.

Those are horrible comparison pictures, and its in the shade lol.

They were about $435 for the tritons alone including switchbacks for the front(not installed yet) But I found a 15% discount code online!
All bulbs come as pairs including relays and everything you need to install! smd towers aren't that cheap on their own so I thought these weren't too bad with the discount.

I also purchased 12inch extension wires for the brake light bulbs to reach & a few 194leds to replace elsewhere.

I know! :( I just ran outside quick to take a picture before going to work! it's been overcast here for weeks & raining. The first pic was taken with a camera & the car had just been polished, the new one I haven't washed the car since last year! no excuse I know.

smitty2919 03-06-2014 11:50 AM

Damn $435 for some bulbs?? F that LOL

bad_408_vert 03-12-2014 07:55 PM

After waiting painfully for my backorder to ship, I finally got my order! It was 100% plug-n-play; no splicing needed. The lights operate the exact same as stock bulbs as these are amber only. There's a fuse you can add (it just plugs in as well) that is supposed to simulate resistance so a new flasher isn't needed. I did not test this as I already have an adjustable flasher from my sequential taillights.

I've attached a pic with both the stock bulb and Triton; can you tell which bulb is the Triton? This picture was taken without adjusting the Triton, at noon, on a cloudy day. Maybe this weekend if its sunny out and I get time I'll get a pic directly in the sun. These bulbs absolutely blow away those shitty LED tower bulbs.

I was hoping for the amber to be a more orange like the other LEDs I have, but instead its the same as stock.

Finally got a free day to get a pic in the sun. This was taken about 10am with the sun shinning directly into the drl housings. The drl housings are cracked, dull, and missing parts of reflective material. Also some users requested to see how they work with the headlights and parking lights, so I made a video:

Wow those look great, very bright. Great for reversing at night. But the price seems a bit high just for bulbs but still a great mod.

Finally managed to get a short video of the brake lights in full sun!

Awesome, thanks for the video! Those light up extremely well! I've been thinking about getting them for my taillights, but I'm not sure how they'd work with my sequential taillights and larger Firebird housings. That's a lot of money if it doesn't work.

I ordered some replacement DRL housings and now the Tritons are brighter! My old DRL housings were missing almost all the reflective coating.

MasterV8 04-06-2014 07:35 AM

Can you do a test fit with your amber tritons?
How come you didn't go with their switchbacks up front? I'm loving mine, nice and bright plus they are white all the time even with headlights off! where as the towers you can buy were always amber until you put the headlights on.
