fog lights?

Default fog lights?

am I correct in assuming the OEM fogs for the 93-97 Trans Ams are glass and the 98-02 are plastic? Reason Im asking is I want to get HIDs for the fogs and I hear the plastic ones melt, even the 35w ones.

The 35w hids will not melt the fog housing

Yes they can, especially the cheap HID kits that tend to run hotter. It has happened to a lot of people.

Shouldn't run HIDs in the bird's fogs anyway...

I think he's talking about the lenses themselves. Granted, that doesn't really change anything but would make sense when he's asking glass or plastic. But I've never heard of any bulbs melting the actual lenses on the fogs though. Not saying it hasn't happened, just saying I've never heard of it actually happening...
