**UPDATE** New plastic deck lid dash top...ABS plastic.**PICS-COMMENTS**
Anyone ever bought one of these.....Im wondering if its a nice piece that fits perfectly....or garbage. $289.00 NEW.

************************************************** ***********UPDATE HERE........
Its very nice. Very strong. Much stronger than the factory piece. Its ABS, which means it will not splinter like the factory piece. It can be taken on and off, although I would rather not do that because the metal clips are pretty damn strong.
The texture is very smooth actually.....almost exactly like factory. It feels very smooth, not rough at all. It can be painted with vinyl paint to match.
They do good work, the padded side with the fasteners look perfect and very strong. The vents are very nice and they are also strong, not flimsy at all. The two holes are there for the factory security lights. My 1998 only has one red light bulb.
I took of a picture of the large flat sheet of 1/4" thick ABS plastic that they start with. They smash it down onto the mold with a heated press, then send it over to the finisher for the fasteners, padding, etc.....The guy that makes them explained the whole process.
****I'm not installing mine until I have my new dash shell installed. That cant get done till October 14th or so when I get back from 6 weeks working in the Middle East. I leave in two days and cant get it in that soon. If this new ABS deck lid fits nice then its a better piece than the factory lid, that's for damn sure. Its already stronger and looks just as good. I'll know in about 7 weeks how it fits.
****If you want other pictures....I can take some tonight when I get back home.....

first I've heard of it, but honestly looks like crap in the picture, the front "edge" has lots of variation in thickness that isn't on the stock part (in the top view pic that doesn't appear to be there in the bottom view pic) and the texture looks off. frankly the biggest concern is the total lack of any installed pics.

ABS plastic use is the key to never worrying about them breaking up like the factory one does so easily.

Im going by that place in Pompano so I can look at the deck lid....if it feels and looks like a good piece I'll buy it.
I just bought a brand new dash shell...the entire front portion of the dash with glove box door and A/C vents. So I need to replace my plastic deck lid along with it.
I'll let you all know what the quality and precision looks like.

No...I have one ABS injection mold for a product that's about 100 pounds and 4 foot in diameter and 1" thick. It cost $1,500 to make.
Things get expensive when theres a lot of twists and turns or things that are hollow inside with channels flowing through the piece. Like if someone wanted to make a cylinder head out of plastic......or our plastic LSx intakes.......then they can get $4,000-$6,000.
