Smooth Front bumper After searching a ton, I can't find the topic on this :bang: I know someone on here did it, and they had a nice link to a page with good pictures, but WHERE DID IT GO? Whoever this was had taken off their camaro grill and smoothed the camaro letters, holes, and camaro logo on the front of the car. I'd specificly like to know what was used to do this (some type of plastic fill if I remember) and a link to a page detailing what was done. Anyone? |
well when my car got the new paint this year i had him fill in the holes from the stock grill, can't even tell they were there. I believe he used fiberglass..maybe Hacker Joe will see this and chime in on what he did with my car exactly. plenty of pics on page in my sig.. |
Man they look good with those holes smoothed don't they? Hopefully I can find what to use soon, I'd like to start it this weekend and get the bumper cover painted next week. |
i did it on my car last week. i just used body filler to shave everything out. it looks great. i dont have any pics, but i can try to get a friends camera to take some. |
I am planning on doing this in the next couple of weeks, along with the CME exhaust. I am going to remove the front bumper and take it to a body shop with the CME skirt for filling and painting. This will certainly make the installation of the mesh grill inserts and clear corners easier. Here is my photoshop of what it should look like on my car. http://www.rolandengineering.com/ModSS.JPG |
griff, I don't want to use body filler because it will crack. I know there is a kind of plastic fill you can use that won't crack. |
