Default My New MOMO Steering Wheel!

Sucker was a pain to install but totally worth it in the end. Grips feel amazing and it really transforms the feel of the car in the twisties. Looks OEM as well

Only thing bothering me is that the steering wheel isn't exactly centered when going straight. Is that something I can fix by trying to mess with the tie-rods or should I leave it to the alignment guys?

Go get it aligned and you'll see a slight adjustment. An alignment fixed mine after I went aftermarket.

A steering wheel is probably the best mods I've done haha I also got a momo (race) and the feel is also awesome! I had the opposite thing happen to me though. I was able to straighten out my steering wheel with the aftermarket one. I can't remember but can you move the adapter a tooth or two to make it straight?

Yes I messed with the adapter but at this point moving it a tooth over in either direction makes it worse. I'll just deal with it until I get an alignment done.

I'm a pretty small guy (6'0" 160lbs) but even I noticed it was a lot easier to get in and out of the car with this wheel, you also have a lot more leg room.

Nice steering wheel. I just ordered a Momo for my GTA. I might ditch the factory wheel in my 01 some day.

I didn't hook up my horn yet, though the wiring is really straightforward. Need to get the right connectors.

I used the 2401 adapter.

For you guys that have done this do you not have a safety inspection in your state? That would be my issue is that its obvious that there is no air bag so the I doubt the car would pass safety, so Id have to swap the stock wheel back on every two years just for inspection...

No inspection for me either but none of the changes are permanent. Switching wheels would probably take less than 15 min.

The strange thing is that even when I was in BRIGHT BLUE Noo Joyzee, which was pretty damned draconian as far as inspection was concerned (back then, when they did much more than just the OBD 2 plug in like now), they NEVER EVER said ONE thing about my small Sparco wheel for 13 years worth of inspections, which obviously cannot have/fit an exploding whoopee cushion in the center.

They DID try to fail me once for no driver's side catcon, when it was there, factory stock in the factory position, in PLAIN SITE, damned Parsons DOLTS.

Also, one year they failed me because the Lakeesha at the end of the line claimed she could not reach into the driver's corner of the windsheild to scrape off the old sticker and install the new one, due to me having an Autometer shift light on the inside A pillar. PULLEEEZE!!

Is that wheel smaller than OE? It looks pretty big but it could be the camera angle.
